Comparing Katrina to these fires is comparing apples to oranges. Our county (San Diego) wasn't flooded and our entire infrastructure wasn't destroyed. The majority of our law enforcement was on the job, not evacuated. Large parts of the County were not at risk allowing those who weren't effected to help those who were. Our roads were mostly open. I don't mean to diminish the suffering and loss of both property and lives, but I'm tired of the comparison.

These fires are effecting everyone in the world right now. But mostly the people that are getting theres lives destroyed, everything they worked so hard for gone, some people are even losing there lives. People need to see that they should never take anything in life for granted because things like a fire or anything unexpected can happen and you can lose everything. I think everyone should put something into these fires, a lesson or to help someonme , anyone out there that might just need someone to say hello to and know you care. Im trying my best to do everything i can to help and im just a teenage girl. So if i can do something you can.
